OUR CONVICTION

“The work is complex. The language around it should be clear.”

OUR EDITORIAL STANDARD

01

Evidence before noise

Begin with what can be observed.

02

Context before certainty

Name the constraints before the conclusion.

03

Reusable knowledge

Leave a trace that assists the next decision.

04

Honest operating states

Say what is published, in development or still to be tested.

THE METHOD

From a real condition to a trace that remains useful.

Every publication begins in the shape of a situation: a service, a constraint, a change, a failure or a decision. The aim is not to flatten the real; it is to make the next decision more discussable.

  1. 01

    Locate the condition

Name the service, the people, the constraint and the point at which the work becomes difficult.

  2. 02

    Separate signal from conclusion

Distinguish what can be observed from what still needs interpretation, discussion or verification.

  3. 03

    Leave a trace

Share observations, mechanisms and limits that another team can pick up and use.

THE ORIGIN

Written alongside systems that must keep working.

DailyOps comes from cybersecurity and IT operations work in environments where availability, rigor and continuous monitoring are not abstract. The publication connects architecture, operational practice and secure system design when context must remain intelligible under pressure.

Steve Ba-Ndouwe is a cybersecurity engineer working across IT operations. His career runs through high-stakes environments such as banking, airports and critical infrastructure, where availability, regulatory rigor and continuous monitoring leave no margin for error. He founded DailyOps.Tech to turn field playbooks into knowledge that lasts.
